Job Title: Technical Project Manager

Reports To: Director of PMO & IT

Job Type: Full-Time, Exempt

Location: Rochester, NY

Summary:

Reporting to the Director of PMO & IT Operations, the Technical Project Manager is accountable for planning, leading and ultimately delivering the specified outcomes and requirements of all assigned projects, for internal or external customers, on time and on budget.

Additionally, this role will be required to be the primary point of contact for an assigned major account with an emphasis on managing project and change related work with that account.

Project Management Responsibilities include the following, but are not limited to:

  • Manage an assigned set of technical projects utilizing both internal and external resources. This includes leading team members, directing work, assigning tasks, regular reporting, and accountability for risk/issue mitigation.
  • Communicate with internal and external customers, vendors, and community stakeholders to manage expectations and facilitate desired outcomes.
  • Manage relationships with all stakeholders and participants within their projects.
  • Ensure all assigned project requirements and objectives are properly gathered, reviewed\approved and documented prior to project start. This may include signed contractual agreements, SOW(s) and regulatory compliance documentation in addition to standard requirements templates.
  • Identify potential risks and\or issues and develop appropriate mitigations and\or solutions.
  • Participate in PMO practices, reviews, and operational sessions as required.
  • Assist in creating and updating processes and templates for and with the Project Management team.

Additional Relationship Management Responsibility:

  • Management of an assigned Strategic Account, working with the account team to ensure that all their projects have been identified, start and end dates are agreed, and that scope and needs (requirements) are well understood and communicated back into the GRRHIO teams.

Job Requirements:

  • 5-7 years of progressive experience as a project manager preferably with formal PMP and\or Lean Six Sigma certification or training
  • Background in Healthcare; Health Informatics or related field preferred
  • Knowledge and experience in cross-functional project management methods and techniques. Experience with both agile and waterfall project\SDLC methodologies desired
  • Ability to gather requirements from a variety of business and technical users and strong relationship management skills are essential.
  • Strong work ethic, self-motivation will be necessary for success in this role.
  • Ability to function in a hybrid work environment with experience managing projects using remote work techniques and technology required.
  • Understanding of HL7, CCD and FHIR data standards is desired.
  • Familiarity with Jira and Salesforce is beneficial.
  • Bachelor’s Degree required.

Alternate. Limited network access to systems containing PHI - Admin, Community Services, Finance, Legal, Travel
